Job Description

Section Head Sales Indian Subcontinent Job at TASNEE is responsible for leading his team and managing the Sales activities in an assigned region to maximize commercial value for TASNEE. He is the key point of contact between the organization and his assigned customers and is also responsible for identifying new customers and driving growth with the assigned customers.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales

  • Create an approved strategic plan for Tasnee’s regional presence and customer expansion.
  • Lead sales operations with specific customers/agents to meet targets, providing customized monthly price lists.
  • Offer quotes for direct sales based on specific target prices. Assist agents in customer segmentation.
  • Adhere to sales policies, present reports to the management team. Prepare quarterly agent performance repo

Customer Engagement

  • Regularly review and apply customer profiling and segmentation in assigned areas.
  • Assess customer appeal based on various factors and identify High Priority customers.
  • Provide direct sales quotations and assist agents in customer segmentation and promotion.
  • Adhere to sales policies, present reports, and forecasts to the management team.
  • Prepare quarterly agent performance reports, sharing with agents and Regional Sales & Marketing Manager.

After Sales Support

  • Direct Customer Support ensuring end-to-end processing of the sales order in accordance with the customers’ requirements.
  • Coordinate with other Customer Service roles, outside of own reporting line, ensuring a smooth end-to-end customer journey.
  • Assume responsibility for Credit Control and Collection of Outstanding Account Receivables of customers under own account
  • Propose credit facilities for specific accounts and coordinate with Finance and insurance representative (within and outside Tasnee).

New Opportunities

  • Explore opportunities for opening new markets to increase sales
  • Develop and implement action plan for new customer identification and acquisition within the assigned region
  • Manage relationships with new customers during the first six months to identify needs and seek to develop into High Priority or core customers, then segment according to needs and hand over to other sales staff if required.

Market Intelligence

• Collect market information (price development, demand supply balance, new capacity coming online, market disruptions, etc.) from assigned customers, agents, service providers (e.g. Platts ICIS), and any other sources.

  • Identify product improvements or new products by remaining well-informed on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in      professional societies.

Records

• Ensure that all sales are recorded in the necessary tools

• Update customer commercial information on the internal customer database (e.g. customer needs, end-market application, production capacity, segmentation, selected services, etc.).

People Management

  • Assume leadership role for direct report (Sales Representatives, Customer Support).

• Manage the daily operations and activities of direct reports.

• Drive engagement, training, and career development for direct reports.

Relationships

• Maintain relationships with High Priority and new customers through ongoing feedback and strategic meetings and by recommending new opportunities and value-adding services.

• Coordinate with all related departments (e.g. R&D) to realize commercial opportunities and ensure the successful completion of sales.

Qualification and Minimum Experience:

  • Qualification Undergraduate university degree, preferably in Engineering (chemical or process).
  • Experience  5 years of experience in Sales of Industrial Petrochemicals and Plastic products.
