Role – MEP Technician

As an MEP Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in assigned facilities are operating reliably and efficiently. You’ll perform both preventive and reactive maintenance, diagnose issues, liaise with contractors or other technical teams, and follow safety and operation protocols strictly.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, pumps, motors, and associated equipment.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions, system inefficiencies, or breakdowns, and carry out corrective work.

• Read, interpret and work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics related to MEP systems.

• Monitor system performance, report issues, suggest efficiency improvements.

• Coordinate with supervisors / site management to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.

• Maintain accurate logs and records: maintenance / repair reports, parts used, hours, etc.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, wear protective gear, follow protocols.

• Assist with installation or commissioning of new MEP systems / upgrades when required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or technical qualification in MEP / Mechanical / Electrical / HVAC / Plumbing field.

• 3-5 years hands-on experience in MEP maintenance/technician roles in UAE / GCC.

• Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including HVAC components.

• Ability to use measurement tools, meters, perform diagnostics.

• Capable of reading technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics.

• Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic or another local language is a plus.

• Strong problem solving, attention to detail, proactive approach to maintenance.

• Physically fit and able to work on site, climb, carry tools, handle heavy equipment.
