Job Overview

The Supply Chain Manager for Al-Futtaim Automotive will oversee the comprehensive parts supply chain operations for the BYD and Denza brands throughout Saudi Arabia. This pivotal role encompasses responsibilities such as forecasting, inventory planning, and enhancing operational efficiency across the Central Distribution Center and various branch locations. The successful candidate will have a direct impact on aftersales profitability, parts availability, and overall customer experience, serving as the key supply chain liaison with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in the region.

In this senior leadership position, you will be instrumental in expanding BYD and Denza’s aftersales presence in the Kingdom. Your strategic vision and operational expertise will drive the success of the supply chain functions, ensuring that they align with the company’s growth objectives and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Parts supply chain strategy for BYD and Denza in Saudi Arabia, focusing on forecasting, replenishment cycles, and inventory management.
• Create and maintain demand forecasting models that reflect vehicle growth trends, seasonal variations, marketing campaigns, and warranty cycles.
• Establish inventory targets for the Central Distribution Center and branches to maximize fill rates and optimize working capital.
• Monitor and manage key inventory performance indicators, including stock turnover, fill rates, back-order ratios, and aging stock metrics.
• Enhance inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, governance practices, and adherence to ERP systems.
• Standardize parts operations across branches, including replenishment processes and emergency order management.
• Act as the primary contact for BYD HQ supply chain teams regarding ordering, allocations, and supply commitments.
• Oversee the management of OE order cycles, including escalation procedures and resolution of supply disruptions.
• Negotiate supply terms and pricing with OEMs and third-party vendors to ensure favorable service-level agreements.
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics, customs clearance, and freight optimization to enhance distribution efficiency.
• Drive warehouse productivity and layout optimization while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Prepare and present monthly supply chain performance reports to Aftersales and brand leadership teams.
• Collaborate with various departments including Aftersales, Service, Sales, Finance, and IT to ensure alignment of supply chain strategies with commercial objectives.
• Support new branch openings and product launches from a parts supply perspective.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; an MBA or supply chain certifications (such as CPIM or CSCP) are preferred.
• Between 13 to 20 years of experience in automotive parts supply chain management, with significant exposure to Central Distribution Centers and branch operations.
• A proven track record of establishing or transforming parts operations within multi-branch dealer networks.
• Strong familiarity with automotive ERP systems and business intelligence reporting tools.
• Experience in the GCC or KSA markets is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively at the HQ level.
• Exceptional leadership and team development capabilities, with a focus on operational excellence.
• Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
