Founded in 1998, Prince Sultan College swiftly enrolled students the following year. In 2002, the Ministry of Higher Education elevated it, resulting in the transformation into Prince Sultan University (PSU).
HRH Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, holding roles as Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense, and Inspector General, inaugurated PSU. This non-profit institution, situated in Riyadh, emerged through the efforts of the Al-Riyadh Philanthropic Society, the legal umbrella of PSU. The initiative gained momentum under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, who, at the time, served as the governor of Riyadh region and the chairman of the Board of Directors.
The establishment of PSU carries a poignant dedication to the late Crown Prince Sultan. A fact reflected in its genesis and development. The institution, licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education. PSU embodies an educational haven and a strong desire to contribute to growth of the community.
