This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of internal controls and risk management processes within the organization. In this position, you will utilize your expertise in data analytics to extract and analyze information from various business systems, providing actionable insights that drive improvements. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Internal Audit, you will play a crucial role in assessing compliance with company policies and identifying areas for enhancement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct independent audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Lead and execute audit engagements, ensuring thorough planning and coordination with stakeholders.
• Develop and implement audit programs that assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Engage with process owners to gather relevant information and facilitate process understanding sessions.
• Utilize data analytics tools to extract, cleanse, and analyze data, generating key risk indicators and exception reports.
• Perform complex internal audit tasks while applying critical thinking and internal audit methodologies.
• Document audit findings, prepare reports, and present results to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable recommendations.
• Follow up on audit actions to ensure timely implementation of recommendations and improvements.
• Support international audit engagements as needed, contributing to the Group’s expanding footprint.
• Participate in special projects or consulting engagements as directed by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in internal audit, with a preference for retail industry experience or from a Big Four firm.
• Hands-on experience in data extraction and analysis, with proficiency in tools like Power BI.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Completion of at least the first part of the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification or actively pursuing it.
• Strong understanding of IIA standards, accounting principles, and IFRS standards.
• Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging effectively with all management levels.
• Proficient in time management and organizational skills, with a keen interest in AI technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of internal controls and risk management practices.
