Job Overview

KEO International Consultants is seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector to join its award-winning team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting mechanical works, monitoring construction quality, reviewing technical submissions, and ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and safety requirements.

This position is open to GCC nationals only.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and respond to contractor Inspection Requests (IRs) in a timely manner.
  • Inspect mechanical installations and related components to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of MEP techniques, procedures, international codes, and applicable standards.
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge across mechanical engineering disciplines.
  • Review shop drawings against contract drawings, specifications, local codes, statutory requirements, and international best practices.
  • Identify work that does not comply with approved drawings or specifications and report it to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor construction quality and site safety, including health and environmental requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project specifications, and safety risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate daily site records, including progress photographs.
  • Prepare surveillance reports for identified deficiencies and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when required.
  • Coordinate mechanical works with other disciplines to ensure effective project integration.
  • Provide technical support and recommendations to resolve mechanical issues arising on site.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
  • Strong experience in mechanical engineering inspection and construction supervision.
  • Good knowledge of MEP techniques, procedures, codes, and industry standards.
  • Ability to interpret and review engineering drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Experience with site inspections, quality control, NCRs, and technical reporting.
  • Strong multidisciplinary coordination and communication skills.
  • GCC nationals only.
