Key Responsibilities
- Supervise cafeteria staff and ensure effective teamwork to deliver excellent service.
- Monitor employee grooming, uniforms, and professional appearance standards.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including:
- Preparing supplies and equipment
- Cleaning work areas
- Ensuring all facilities are secured
- Inspect storage areas to ensure proper organization, cleanliness, and FIFO stock rotation.
- Conduct inventory checks and request necessary supplies.
- Monitor cafeteria operations, seating availability, safety, and employee satisfaction.
- Coordinate maintenance requests and complete work orders when required.
- Support management with:
- Hiring activities
- Staff training
- Scheduling
- Performance evaluations
- Employee coaching and motivation
- Act as a role model and support company employee relations policies.
- Follow Marriott safety, security, and workplace procedures.
- Report accidents, incidents, and unsafe working conditions.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets.
- Provide professional communication and support to employees.
- Build positive working relationships and support team goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost control.
- Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors or management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of related hospitality or cafeteria experience.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Good understanding of food service operations, cleanliness standards, and workplace safety.
