Job Overview
This is a full-time position based in Doha within the catering division. As a Pastry / Bakery Chef, you will report to the Head Chef / Catering Manager and lead the bakery and pastry operations. The role requires significant experience (6–12 years) in high-volume catering or large-scale food production environments.
Role / Job Purpose
You will be responsible for managing all bakery and pastry production — from recipe development to execution, ensuring high quality, consistency, and food safety. You will also supervise pastry staff, oversee inventory, and collaborate with other kitchen teams to meet catering demands.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and produce a wide variety of pastries, bread, desserts, and baked goods for catering events
Prepare and manage production schedules to meet daily and event-based demand
Ensure all baked products meet quality, presentation and taste standards
Supervise, train, and mentor bakery team members (bakers, pastry cooks)
Monitor inventory and manage procurement of baking ingredients and supplies
Maintain hygiene and sanitation in the bakery area, following food-safety regulations
Collaborate with catering and kitchen teams to integrate bakery items in menus
Cost-control: monitor wastage, portion sizes, and ingredient usage
Generate reports on production, quality control, and staff performance
Required Qualifications & Skills
6–12 years of relevant experience as a Pastry / Bakery Chef, preferably in catering or mass production
Strong technical skills in pastry arts: breads, viennoiserie, desserts, plated pastries
Proven experience in recipe development and menu planning
Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management ability
Solid understanding of food safety standards and bakery hygiene
Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Strong cost-control mindset
Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus
