Department: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Reports To: HSE Manager / Head of SHEQ
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
Experience: 10–16 years in HSE supervision, risk management, or similar safety leadership roles
Certifications (Preferred): NEBOSH, IOSH, Certified Safety Professional, or equivalent
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE policies and systems.
Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
Supervise and mentor safety officers, coordinators, and field staff.
Investigate incidents and near-misses; perform root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
Monitor compliance with local, national, and company-specific safety regulations.
Prepare and review HSE reports, KPIs, and dashboards for senior management.
Promote a proactive safety culture and drive behavioral-based safety initiatives.
Provide input into project planning to ensure safe execution of operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Extensive HSE experience (10–16 years) with demonstrable leadership ability.
Strong knowledge of safety management systems, risk assessment techniques, and regulatory standards.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Proven ability to lead audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
Proficiency with HSE software, Microsoft Office, and report preparation.
High level of integrity, resilience, and commitment to safety excellence.
