Role – Accountant
In this role, you will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting functions: preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, auditing, and financial analysis. You will play a critical role in supporting Samsung C&T’s finance operations in Qatar and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow statements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Lead budgeting and forecasting activities in coordination with business units.
Conduct internal audits, support external auditors, and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
Perform variance analysis and drive corrective actions.
Monitor financial transactions, reconciliations, and ledger integrity.
Assist in project costing, CAPEX accounting, and financial controls.
Provide financial insights and reports to senior management.
Ensure compliance with local tax laws, statutory regulations, and corporate governance standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
8–12 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or corporate environment.
Strong proficiency in accounting standards (local and international) and financial reporting.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Excellent Excel skills; experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
Detail-oriented, analytical mindset and strong organizational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
English fluency is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
