Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a relevant technical field
Experience: 4–9 years in substation automation, instrumentation, electrical maintenance or similar

Role – Technician (Substation Automation & Instrumentation)
You will be responsible for supporting the commissioning, maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of substation automation systems. You will also work with SCADA systems, RTUs, protection relays, and communication networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Commission, configure, test and troubleshoot substation automation equipment (e.g., RTUs, protection relays, SCADA interfaces).
Perform instrumentation calibration, checks, and preventive maintenance.
Assist with fault diagnostics related to substation automation and instrumentation hardware/software.
Implement and maintain communication between substation devices via Ethernet, serial links, fiber, or other protocols.
Work closely with project teams (engineering, commissioning, protection) to ensure system readiness and compliance.
Document system configuration, test results, calibration data and maintenance records.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and project quality control.
Participate in system handover, site testing, and training of end users or maintenance staff.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation or related discipline.
4–9 years of experience in substation automation, instrumentation or related electrical roles.
Experience with protection relays, RTUs, PLCs, SCADA systems and communication protocols.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Good documentation and reporting capabilities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
Knowledge of safety practices in high-voltage / substation environments.
