Role – Customer Service Agent

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Customer Service Agent for placement with one of our esteemed logistics clients in Dubai. This role is critical for ensuring our client’s customers receive top-tier support for their logistics and freight forwarding needs. You will be responsible for precise documentation, effective communication, and swift problem resolution, making you a key player in service delivery. This position is ideal for someone with experience in the freight forwarding or logistics sector who is ready to excel in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming customer inquiries and requests promptly and professionally via various channels (phone, email).

  • Process customer orders, prepare necessary documentation, including Bills of Lading and shipping instructions.

  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., operations, sales) to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.

  • Track shipments, provide updates to customers, and proactively communicate any potential delays or issues.

  • Investigate and resolve service-related problems, discrepancies, or complaints efficiently and effectively.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and activity logs within the client’s system.

  • Ensure full compliance with all company policies, procedures, and relevant customs regulations.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, with demonstrable experience in the Freight Forwarding or Logistics industry.

  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal, is essential for international communication.

  • Proficiency in using logistics software and standard office applications (MS Office Suite).

  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building positive customer relationships.

  • A proactive attitude and a strong commitment to problem-solving and customer satisfaction.

  • Knowledge of international shipping documentation and processes is highly advantageous.
