Role – Manager Quality & HSSE
You will lead both Quality and HSSE functions—developing, implementing, and monitoring systems and processes to ensure compliance, safety, and high quality. This includes policy development, audits, training, inspections, incident investigations, continuous improvement programs, and ensuring the company’s operations meet both legal and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and enforce Quality, Health, Safety & Environment policies and procedures.
Plan and conduct audits (internal / external), inspections, risk assessments.
Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, corrective & preventive actions.
Oversee training programs for staff on QHSE awareness, safety practices, quality control.
Monitor performance metrics (e.g. safety KPI, audit findings, nonconformity rates, incident rates) and report to senior management.
Ensure compliance with local and international regulations and standards (e.g. ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001).
Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, procurement, and maintenance teams to embed QHSE in all processes.
Manage permits, safety documentation, emergency planning, environmental impact controls.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce risks, improve safety outcomes, enhance quality.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, safety or related field.
Certifications: NEBOSH / IOSH / ISO lead auditor (Quality / Safety / Environment) desirable.
8-12 years+ experience in QHSE roles, with last few years in managerial capacity.
Strong knowledge of legal & regulatory requirements in Qatar & GCC.
Excellent leadership, communication, training & mentoring skills.
Ability to manage multiple sites or operations, perform audits and risk assessment, and handle incident investigations.
Salary & Market Insight
For Quality Manager roles in Doha, average monthly salary is about QAR 12,550/month for base roles.
For HSSE Manager positions with senior responsibility, the range is broader: average ~ QAR 18,600/month, with lower-end ~ QAR 8,600 and higher end up to QAR 29,600/month depending on experience and scope.
Given that this role combines Quality + HSSE and has managerial responsibility, a salary in the QAR 18,000-25,000/month range seems appropriate, with room for higher depending on industry, company size, site span, and benefits.
