Role – Excel Specialist
You’ll be responsible for managing and designing complex Excel spreadsheets, dashboards, and tools. Expect tasks like automating repetitive data entries, creating reports and visualizations, validating and cleaning data, troubleshooting formula errors, and working with other teams to ensure data is usable and meaningful.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain Excel dashboards and reports using advanced functions (PivotTables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, conditional formatting etc.)
Write macros / VBA scripts or automate tasks to reduce manual work
Clean, validate, and prepare large datasets for reporting and decision-making
Collaborate with departments (finance, operations, admin) to understand their data/reporting needs and deliver useful output
Create templates or standardized workbooks for repeated use
Troubleshoot Excel issues, fix formula / data errors
Document workflows, maintain version control of spreadsheets/tools
Required Qualifications & Skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel: advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros / VBA / automation
Hands-on experience with data cleaning, validation, and analysis using Excel
Ability to visualize data in Excel (charts, dashboards) clearly and professionally
Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in work
Good communication: able to present Excel-based reports and insights to non-technical stakeholders
Salary & Market Insight
Based on similar roles in UAE (e.g. “Excel Administrator”, “MS Excel Executive”), salaries are typically in the range of AED 6,000-10,000/month for intermediate level (2-5 yrs experience).
For more senior or specialized Excel automation + dashboarding + VBA roles, salaries can go up to AED 12,000-15,000/month, depending on complexity, scope, and employer.
