Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; additional specialization or training in mental health or pediatric mental health is an advantage
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in mental health / psychiatric nursing, preferably with children or adolescents

Role – Pediatric Mental Health Nurse
You will deliver physical, psychological, and behavioral nursing care to pediatric patients with mental health needs. Duties include assessment, medication administration, therapies, crisis intervention, patient & family education, monitoring progress, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. You’ll be a core part of the healing environment, helping young patients in their mental health journey.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct nursing assessments, observe mental state, track vital signs, and perform routine physical checks of pediatric mental health patients.
Administer psychiatric medications as prescribed; monitor for side effects and response.
Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists.
Support therapeutic activities: group sessions, behavioral therapies, life-skills training, crisis reduction techniques.
Provide emotional support and guidance to children & adolescents, and their families; promote coping strategies.
Maintain accurate patient records, report any changes in condition, complete progress notes.
Participate in risk assessments, ensure safety protocols, de-escalation of crisis situations.
Educate patients & families about mental health, medication adherence, recovery, relapse prevention.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent; valid UAE nursing license or licensure acceptable in the emirate.
Experience (2-5 years) in psychiatric / mental health nursing, preferably with pediatric population.
Strong knowledge of child / adolescent development, mental health disorders in youth, and psychiatric care techniques.
Certification or training in mental health nursing, crisis intervention, or related field is a plus.
Excellent communication skills (English required; additional languages a plus).
Compassionate, patient, resilient; ability to work with children and families in stress.
