Job Overview

• Location: Dubai, UAE

• Reports To: Finance Manager / Senior Accountant

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) is a plus

• Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience; familiarity with UAE VAT & accounting standards is preferable

Role – Accountant

You will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting tasks: posting transactions, managing AP/AR, bank reconciliations, ensuring invoices are correct, assisting with monthly closes, preparing basic reports, and helping maintain the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries, invoices, receipts, and other accounting documents.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable; follow up on outstanding invoices.

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

• Assist in month-end close processes; prepare schedules and supporting documentation.

• Ensure compliance with local VAT and accounting regulations.

• Maintain accurate financial records; support audit & regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate with other departments for invoice verification, cost allocations, etc.

• Prepare basic financial reports and assist in variance analysis when required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

• 1-3 years of experience in accounting.

• Proficiency using accounting software and MS Excel.

• Good understanding of AP/AR, ledger reconciliation, financial reporting basics.

• Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

• Clear communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.

Average Salary

• The average salary for an Accountant in Dubai is around AED 5,400/month.

• Salaries typically range between AED 4,000-8,500/month based on experience, qualifications, industry, and company size.
