Job Overview

The Senior Accountant for Record to Report (R2R) at Al-Futtaim will be pivotal in ensuring precise and timely financial reporting for the automotive sector. This role is essential for maintaining compliance with group finance policies and facilitating informed business decisions through quality financial insights. A successful candidate will streamline accounting processes, conduct thorough reviews of financial statements, and support external audits, ensuring the integrity of financial data.

In this position, you will oversee the monthly closing of accounts, ensuring that financials are robust and in line with group timelines. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of financial operations and the overall success of the business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the monthly closing of financial books, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Implement continuous improvements in the monthly closing process to enhance the quality of financial outputs.
• Conduct detailed reviews of key accounts within the Trial Balance, ensuring all balances are substantiated.
• Standardize accounting processes to support a robust R2R framework, including regular reconciliations and improved asset management.
• Prepare and submit comprehensive monthly management reports, including insightful commentary for review by senior finance management.
• Assist overseas entities by evaluating current processes and sharing best practices to elevate financial standards.
• Coordinate and facilitate external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
• Support the preparation of standalone financial statements in accordance with group governance and divisional guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Holder of a professional accounting qualification such as CPA or ACCA.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience within a large corporate environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Proficient in financial software and ERP systems, particularly SAP.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with finance teams and auditors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and tasks efficiently, focusing on continuous improvement.
