Job Overview
KEO International Consultants is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer – GCC National to join its team on a major project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation and management of KEO’s Safety Management System (SMS), providing HSE guidance to project teams and contractors, and promoting high standards of health and safety across the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure effective implementation of KEO’s Safety Management System (SMS) across the project.
- Build strong working relationships with the client, KEO project team, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide professional advice and guidance on HSE matters.
- Stay up to date with current HSE best practices, standards, and requirements.
- Assess the effectiveness of the Safety Management System and recommend improvements when required.
- Conduct HSE training based on identified training needs and project training programs.
- Monitor contractor HSE performance and maintain relevant project safety statistics.
- Ensure incidents are reported and investigated promptly to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Review project incident data and HSE KPIs on a monthly basis.
- Conduct periodic site inspections to verify compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage and assign duties to KEO Safety Officers.
- Review contractor health and safety documentation for compliance with applicable standards.
- Track the closure of HSE violation reports and inspection findings issued to contractors.
- Chair project HSE meetings and participate in construction progress meetings.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the project and support continuous improvement of HSE performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in HSE or a related safety role.
- Experience in HSE management within major construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety management systems, inspections, incident investigation, and contractor HSE management.
- Good understanding of HSE standards, best practices, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- GCC National.
