Job Overview
The Fire Truck Operator is responsible for driving fire vehicles to emergency situations and managing firefighting equipment to ensure operational readiness during incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergencies, following instructions from the in-charge personnel.
- Drive firefighting and emergency response vehicles to various incident locations.
- Operate fire truck pumps and rescue equipment during emergencies.
- Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of firefighting equipment to ensure availability.
- Assist in rescue operations and provide first aid to injured personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of fire truck operations and equipment status.
- Participate in HSE drills and training activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Technical Diploma in a relevant field or a Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in fire-related technical roles and driving.
- Knowledge of facility layouts, firefighting equipment, and first aid procedures.
- Professional certifications such as NFPA 1001 & 472, and a Heavy Vehicle License are required.
