Store Supervisor, Sports Retail — GMG
GMG operates more than 120 international and home-grown brands across sport, food, health, and consumer goods, working under the Baker family across the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia. Within GMG Sports, this Store Supervisor role exists to keep one team performing at its best — driving sales, coaching staff, and making sure the store runs to the operational and customer service standard the brand is known for.
What the Job Involves
Sales & Store Performance
- Support the store in hitting its annual sales targets
- Help manage staff scheduling and coverage so customer service standards stay consistently high
- Run store operations audits to confirm compliance with required SOPs
- Generate and analyze sales reports, offering insight on stock potential and how new versus core collections are performing
- Submit daily invoices and sales recaps to Finance
Customer Experience & Merchandising
- Ensure customer needs are met and complaints are resolved to a high standard, building relationships that surface both current and future customer needs
- Keep visual merchandising aligned with brand display standards
- Ensure pricing and promotions are accurate and consistent with company policy
- Oversee after-sales processes, ensuring repair/return procedures are followed correctly with the right internal communication
Operations & Loss Prevention
- Manage day-to-day store operations — cash handling, inventory counts, and recordkeeping — in line with company SOPs
- Maintain strong loss prevention practices, particularly around cash handling and fraud/theft risk
- Handle inventory movement including receiving, stocking, restocking, transfers, and resolving discrepancies
- Keep both the interior and exterior of the store clean and maintained to brand standard
- Step in on the till as a cashier when needed
- Direct the team to follow SOPs and store appearance standards consistently
Team Leadership
- Set clear goals and KPIs for each team member and apply GMG’s performance management process effectively
- Mentor and coach team members to help them reach their goals
- Build a culture of ongoing feedback, identifying development needs and coaching staff on where to improve
Who Fits This Role
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- 4–5 years of relevant retail experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory retail operations role
- Fluent English, spoken and written
- Solid industry and product/category knowledge
- Strong customer orientation
- Comfortable working with MS Office and standard retail tools
Pay
- 5500 AED
