Cashier, Sports Retail — GMG

GMG is a global well-being company behind more than 120 brands across sport, food, health, and consumer goods, operating throughout the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia under the Baker family’s ownership. Within its Sports division, GMG is hiring a Cashier to handle transactions and support customers on the shop floor, playing a direct role in keeping the sales experience smooth and secure from the till end.

What the Job Involves

• Keep product prices updated and accurate in the system at all times
• Count cash carefully once the last customer has left the showroom
• Handle currency denominations correctly and confidently
• Carry out security checks on cash, credit cards, and cheques when needed
• Remove security tags from purchased garments and items
• Guide customers on gift vouchers and any active in-store promotions
• Take full ownership of the security of your assigned till, including all cash and valuables inside it
• Answer customer questions on pricing clearly and helpfully
• Count the cash drawer at the start of each shift to confirm the amount is correct and there’s enough change on hand
• Follow proper close-down procedures for your till at the end of trading

Growing With the Role

• Set performance goals at the start of the year together with your reporting manager, and work toward them consistently through the year
• Take ownership of your own development by identifying growth areas with your manager and agreeing on a personal development plan
• Stay current with retail trends, new techniques, and industry developments through ongoing learning

Who Fits This Role

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of relevant retail or customer-facing experience
• Good product and brand awareness
• Strong interpersonal skills
• A genuine customer-service mindset

Pay

6,000 AED per month
