Role – Cost Accountant

As a Cost Accountant, you will manage cost tracking, variance analysis, budgeting, and cost forecasting. You will work closely with project teams, operations, procurement, and finance to ensure that costs are properly captured, analyzed, and reported to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain cost models for ongoing projects and operations.

• Perform variance analysis to compare actual vs. budgeted costs.

• Support budgeting and forecasting exercises.

• Monitor cost drivers such as labor, materials, overhead, and subcontractor expenses.

• Collaborate with procurement and operations to optimize cost efficiency.

• Prepare monthly cost reports and present findings to finance management.

• Ensure accurate allocation of costs across various cost centers and projects.

• Support internal and external cost audits.

• Recommend cost-saving measures and improvements to financial processes.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

• 4–8 years of relevant experience in cost accounting or commercial finance.

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally.
