Education: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred
Experience: 3-7 years of experience in quantity surveying or commercial roles within construction projects

Salary Range: AED 9,000 – AED 14,000 per month (based on experience)
Role – Quantity Surveyor
You will be responsible for carrying out quantity surveying tasks including preparation of bills of quantities (BOQs), measurement, interim valuations, cost-value reconciliations, managing subcontract purchase orders and payments, and supporting commercial reporting and forecasting. Your role will ensure that project costs are monitored, controlled and reported effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review BOQs and schedule of rates for civil and structural trades.
Measure on-site quantities and validate subcontractor claims, interim payments and final accounts.
Monitor cost-value reconciliation (CVR), forecast cost changes and variations in coordination with site and finance teams.
Issue subcontractor purchase orders, evaluate variations, and ensure payments align with contract terms and project progress.
Maintain updated records of subcontractor payment applications, change orders and claims.
Support monthly commercial reporting, cost-tracking, budgeting and forecasting.
Coordinate with design, procurement and construction teams to align quantities, materials and cost controls.
Assist in final account settlement and ensure all documentation is maintained for audit and project hand-over.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
3-7 years’ experience in quantity surveying or commercial cost control on construction projects (UAE or GCC preferred).
Proficiency in measurement, BOQ preparation, valuations, cost reporting and subcontractor administration.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, variation orders and measurement best practices.
Excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills; competent in MS Excel and commercial-reporting tools.
Detail-oriented, able to work on site and liaise with multidisciplinary teams under pressure.
Salary & Market Insight
Quantity Surveyor roles in the UAE vary widely, with some listings offering up to AED 12,000/month for senior roles.
Based on the responsibilities and experience expected, a salary in the AED 9,000–14,000/month range is appropriate for a mid-level QS role.
