Role Summary

The Civil Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials required for ongoing and upcoming civil construction projects. The role requires in-depth market knowledge, supplier coordination, and strong documentation and cost-control skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, and finishing materials.

• Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.

• Prepare purchase orders, maintain procurement records, and ensure timely approval workflows.

• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to forecast material requirements.

• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and standards.

• Monitor supplier performance, manage vendor evaluation, and handle any disputes or delays.

• Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and new supply sources.

• Ensure proper logistics coordination for material delivery to project sites.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.

• 4–8 years of UAE experience in civil procurement within the construction or contracting sector.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle) and MS Office.

• Knowledge of local and international material suppliers.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

• Analytical mindset with attention to cost control and quality compliance.
