Role Summary
The Civil Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials required for ongoing and upcoming civil construction projects. The role requires in-depth market knowledge, supplier coordination, and strong documentation and cost-control skills.
Key Responsibilities
Source and procure construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, and finishing materials.
Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
Prepare purchase orders, maintain procurement records, and ensure timely approval workflows.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to forecast material requirements.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and standards.
Monitor supplier performance, manage vendor evaluation, and handle any disputes or delays.
Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and new supply sources.
Ensure proper logistics coordination for material delivery to project sites.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.
4–8 years of UAE experience in civil procurement within the construction or contracting sector.
Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle) and MS Office.
Knowledge of local and international material suppliers.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Analytical mindset with attention to cost control and quality compliance.
