Role – Logistics Administrator

You will support the logistics operations by handling documentation, coordinating with carriers/vendors, tracking shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring timely updates and compliance. Your role ensures that logistics processes run smoothly, that communication among parties is clear, and that delays or issues are identified early and addressed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with shipping companies, freight forwarders, carriers for inbound & outbound shipments.

  • Prepare, verify, and maintain documents like Bills of Lading, customs paperwork, invoices, shipment schedules.

  • Track shipments & inventory; monitor status updates; follow up on delays or issues.

  • Maintain accurate records for goods received, goods dispatched, stock levels, returns, claims.

  • Liaise with procurement, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure availability of goods & resolve logistical challenges.

  • Organize and file documentation, ensure compliance with regulations/customs where applicable.

  • Assist with vendor & carrier communication concerning delivery schedules, performance, and issues.

  • Generate regular logistics reports / dashboards for management on shipments, delays, inventory status etc.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 2-6 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, import/export, or operations support.

  • Good knowledge of shipping / freight / customs documentation.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with Excel and/or logistics software; experience with ERP/WMS is a plus.

  • Ability to follow through on tasks, and manage time and priorities.

Salary & Market Insight

  • According to NaukriGulf, Logistics Administrators in UAE earn on average AED 6,444/month, with a typical range from AED 5,029 to AED 9,500/month, depending on experience.

  • In Abu Dhabi for example, the lower to mid-experience range tends to be AED 4,000-6,500/month depending on role complexity & responsibilities.

  • For this role, with moderate experience and responsibility, a salary in the range AED 5,000-9,500 seems reasonable.
