Job Overview

Role – Senior AI Engineer

You will lead development of AI/ML models, from data gathering and preprocessing through model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring. You’ll work closely with data engineers, devops, product teams, and possibly clients to define AI solutions, ensure scalable & reliable implementation, fine-tune performance, and maintain model lifecycle. You may also mentor junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy machine learning models / AI solutions (e.g. NLP, CV, anomaly detection, recommendation, forecasting etc.).

• Handle end-to-end pipeline: data collection, cleaning, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment and monitoring.

• Optimize models for performance, scalability, robustness, bias & fairness, and resource efficiency.

• Collaborate with engineering/devops/data infrastructure teams to integrate models into production systems.

• Use cloud platforms or ML infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, or internal tools) for training/deployment.

• Research new AI/ML methods, frameworks, stay updated with state-of-the-art.

• Mentor and upskill junior ML/AI engineers; conduct code reviews, best practices.

• Document model behavior, versioning, maintain reproducibility, manage experiments.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in CS / AI / ML / Data Science or related; Master’s / PhD is an advantage.

• 5-10+ years’ experience in AI/ML engineering, particularly deploying models in production.

• Proficiency in Python (or similar), ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.), data engineering skills.

• Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD practices for ML.

• Strong mathematical/statistical foundation.

• Good understanding of ML metrics, bias, fairness, model interpretability.

• Excellent problem solving and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
