Job Overview

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; prior hospitality or service experience preferred

• Experience: 1-3 years of waitstaff / customer service in a restaurant, cafe, or similar hospitality setting

Role – Waitstaff

You will be the face of the dining venue: welcoming guests, taking orders accurately, serving meals and beverages, clearing tables, ensuring guest satisfaction, and helping maintain the overall dining area. Your contribution helps ensure guests leave happy and what they expect.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests, seat them and present menus in a polite, professional manner.

• Take accurate orders and relay them correctly to kitchen/bar staff.

• Serve food and drinks, check back with guests to ensure satisfaction.

• Clear and clean tables; reset for new guests.

• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of dining areas.

• Handle guest queries or complaints with courtesy; escalate if needed.

• Suggest menu items or upsells where appropriate.

• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 1-3 years’ experience in waitstaff or customer service roles in hospitality.

• Good communication skills in English; additional languages (e.g. Arabic) a plus.

• Friendly, presentable, professional appearance.

• Ability to stand, walk, carry trays etc. Physical stamina.

• Attention to detail; able to manage multiple tables/orders.

• Basic math for handling bills/payments.

Average Salary

• Based on similar roles, the expected salary range is around AED 2,800-4,500/month, depending on experience, venue type (casual / fine dining), and inclusion of tips / service charge.

• In high-end venues, salaries plus tips can exceed this range.
