Role – MEP Commissioning Manager
You will plan, lead, and deliver commissioning of all MEP disciplines—from mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection—to ensure that systems are tested, balanced, calibrated, and handed over. You’ll coordinate with site teams, contractors, consultants, and clients, manage quality and safety standards, resolve technical issues, and deliver documentation, training, and post-handover support.
Key Responsibilities
Develop detailed commissioning plans and schedules for MEP systems per project specs.
Coordinate with design, installation, site, and QA/QC teams to ensure systems are installation-ready.
Lead site acceptance tests (SAT), performance tests, functional tests, balancing, calibration of systems.
Identify, document, and resolve defects, non-conformances; ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Oversee preparation of commissioning reports, test‐certificates, as-built documentation, client handover packs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, codes, and safety / regulatory requirements.
Mentor, supervise, and coordinate a team of commissioning engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
Interface with clients, consultants, and authorities as needed for approvals, inspections.
Contribute to project budgeting, risk assessment, and cost control during commissioning phase.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / MEP Engineering or equivalent.
7-10 years of experience in commissioning / testing roles; substantial experience leading commissioning phases.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems: HVAC, electrical power, plumbing, fire detection/suppression, etc.
Familiar with UAE codes, international commissioning standards, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent problem solving, technical troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Strong leadership & communication skills; ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
Proficiency with testing tools, instrumentation, commissioning software, and standard MS Office tools.
Salary & Market Insight
As per salary surveys and job data, Commissioning Managers in Dubai with similar seniority often earn between AED 30,000 to AED 45,000 per month, depending on project size, company, and complexity.
MEP Manager roles alone average around AED 24,000-25,000/month in Dubai; commissioning adds responsibility and tends to push salary higher.
