Job Overview

Role – Procurement & Quality Engineer

You will be responsible for handling procurement activities (tenders, vendor evaluation, negotiations, purchase orders) while also overseeing quality control — ensuring materials and services comply with specifications, standards, and project requirements. This dual role ensures both cost-effective procurement and high quality of deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and scope, prepare tender documents & RFQs.

• Select, evaluate, and qualify vendors & suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and compliance.

• Negotiate contracts and purchase orders; track delivery schedules & vendor performance.

• Conduct quality inspections / testing of procured materials / equipment; ensure conformity with standards.

• Monitor supplier non-conformances; initiate corrective actions.

• Maintain quality documentation, material certificates, inspection reports.

• Work closely with engineering / project / site teams to address quality issues.

• Ensure procurement and quality work adhere to safety, environmental, regulatory requirements.

• Support cost analysis, value engineering, cost savings initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or Quality / Supply Chain field.

• 3-7 years of relevant experience combining procurement + quality control.

• Good understanding of contract / procurement law, vendor management practices.

• Knowledge of quality standards (ISO, project specs, industry norms).

• Strong analytical & negotiation skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to identify deviations or defects.

• Proficient in documentation, reporting, and vendor audits.

• Communication skills for coordination with multiple teams and external parties.

Average Salary Insight

• The average for Procurement Engineers in UAE is around AED 10,900/month depending on experience.

• Quality Engineers average about AED 6,500/month with a range up to ~AED 13,000 depending on seniority & sector.

• For a combined Procurement & Quality Engineer role with mid-seniority, a reasonable salary range is AED 8,000-14,000/month, depending on company, experience, and sector.
