Job Overview

Department: Finance / Accounting
Reports To: Finance Manager / Financial Controller / CFO
Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related; certifications like ACCA / CPA a plus
Experience: Around 3-7 years of finance/accounting experience with prior responsibility to prepare reports, manage reconciliations, and liaise with external auditors
Role – Assistant Finance Manager
You will assist in overseeing the finance function: ensuring accurate & timely financial reports, managing account reconciliations, supporting budgeting & forecasting cycles, supervising finance staff, maintaining internal controls, and contributing to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and ensure month-end and year-end close processes.
Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
Manage accounts payables & receivables reconciliations.
Oversee payroll, fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, and general ledger management.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Ensure internal controls are maintained and improvements identified.
Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with UAE accounting and regulatory requirements.
Lead, coach, and supervise junior members of finance team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
3-7 years of relevant finance or accounting experience, ideally in UAE.
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
Excellent skills in Excel; familiarity with ERP or finance software.
Detail-oriented, strong analytical & problem-solving abilities.
Good communication skills and ability to work with different departments.
Ability to handle deadlines, work under pressure, and adapt to growth.
Average Salary
In Dubai / UAE, average salary for Assistant Finance Manager roles is around AED 14,000-17,000/month, depending on experience, industry, and company size.
In more senior or larger scale roles, this can rise to AED 18,000+ especially with added responsibilities and certifications.
