Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, shipping, inventory control and staff management.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, security procedures and good housekeeping practices.
• Supervise the loading and unloading of shipments to/from trucks and containers.
• Monitor stock levels and manage inventory control processes.
• Coordinate freight movement with carriers and other vendors.
• Track shipment progress and ensure timely delivery of goods to customers or other warehouses/locations.
• Train and evaluate staff on performance, safety protocols, procedures, job duties and tasks when necessary.
• Monitor warehouse equipment usage to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime; maintain records of equipment maintenance schedules as well as repair costs for budgeting purposes.
• Implement cost-saving strategies to improve warehouse efficiency; recommend process improvements to reduce costs or improve customer service levels.
• Analyze data such as sales trends or customer needs to determine inventory requirements; prepare reports for management regarding warehouse operations, productivity metrics or stock levels.
