Role – Warehouse Operations Supervisor

We are hiring a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to take charge of our daily shift operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of goods through our facility. This pivotal role is responsible for leading a multicultural team, managing all inbound and outbound activities, and implementing best practices to achieve and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs). The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader, a problem-solver, and is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily shift operations for all inbound and outbound warehouse activities.

  • Ensure all inbound inventory is accurately captured in the system (e.g., SAP) and that every SKU has a scannable barcode before offloading.

  • Conduct full inspection audits for packaging, labeling quality, and correct pallet placement.

  • Plan and allocate resources effectively for offloading, putaway, and container assignments based on manpower capacity.

  • Monitor and report on daily KPIs, providing detailed reports to management and recommending improvements for operational efficiency.

  • Lead by example in all Health & Safety protocols, enforcing best practices across the team.

  • Closely coordinate with the Fleet Supervisor to manage container status and prevent offloading delays.

  • Report any discrepancies such as damages, shortages, or excess stock immediately.

  • Manage team schedules, including shift rotas, leave, and compensatory off plans.

  • Ensure all personnel are properly trained on warehouse management systems and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Skills:

  • Proven experience in managing inbound warehouse activities in a large-scale distribution environment.

  • User knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and SAP.

  • High proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and analysis.

  • Thorough understanding of KPI reporting, control procedures, and performance metrics.

Personal Competencies:

  • Confident leader with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a large multicultural workforce.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences (one-to-one, group presentations, email).

  • Highly disciplined, daily KPI-focused, and results-oriented.

  • Strong team player who is flexible, highly motivated, and customer-focused.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality.

Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
