Job Overview

The Vehicle Registration Officer plays a vital role within the Government Relations team at Al-Futtaim Automotive. This position is responsible for overseeing the complete process of vehicle registration, including renewals, transfers, and de-registrations across the dealership network in Saudi Arabia. The officer serves as a key liaison between retail showrooms, workshop operations, and various Saudi governmental agencies, ensuring that all vehicles are compliant with local regulations and delivered to customers in a timely manner.

Success in this role hinges on effective collaboration with Sales, Aftersales, and Finance departments, as well as the Senior Manager of Government Relations. The officer’s work directly influences customer experience and the company’s reputation with regulatory bodies such as Absher, Najiz, and MoCI. A strong understanding of KSA traffic laws and registration processes, along with bilingual communication skills, is essential for achieving excellence in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily vehicle registrations, ownership transfers, renewals, and de-registrations across all branches in KSA.
• Utilize government platforms like Absher Business and Najiz to process transactions in accordance with current regulations.
• Coordinate necessary vehicle inspections and insurance binding to facilitate timely customer handovers.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with the Traffic Department, MoCI, and other relevant stakeholders to expedite approvals.
• Act as the primary contact for registration-related inquiries between Sales teams and government entities.
• Monitor registration processes to ensure compliance with KPIs and customer delivery timelines.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend solutions to enhance processing efficiency.
• Ensure meticulous handling of original documents and registration materials in line with internal audit standards.
• Validate all registration documents for accuracy prior to submission to relevant authorities.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all government transactions to support internal and external audits.
• Generate detailed reports on registration activities, processing times, and pending cases for management review.
• Contribute to the development of internal Standard Operating Procedures for vehicle registration processes.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes and communicate their implications to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of a high school diploma; a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in vehicle registration or government relations, preferably within the automotive sector.
• Familiarity with Saudi government platforms such as Absher Business and Najiz is essential.
• Experience in a dealership or branch environment is highly desirable.
• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
• Proficiency in SAP or a similar Dealer Management System is a plus.
• Saudi National candidates are strongly encouraged to apply in line with Saudization objectives.
