Role – Transportation Manager
As a Transportation Manager with A M Global, you will be responsible for end-to-end oversight of the transport / fleet operations. This includes planning routes, managing drivers and vehicles, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining schedules, fleet maintenance, cost control, and improving transport efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily transport operations: dispatching drivers, optimizing delivery / movement routes, ensuring timely execution.
Manage and monitor fleet maintenance schedules, vehicle conditions, and fuel usage to reduce costs and downtime.
Ensure compliance with UAE transport & road safety regulations.
Manage the driver workforce: recruitment, scheduling, performance evaluation, training, and discipline.
Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and clients to coordinate shipments, deliveries, or transport services.
Monitor KPIs such as delivery time, cost per km, vehicle utilization, and report to senior management.
Develop and implement strategies to improve transportation efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high service levels.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
1-5 years of experience in transport or fleet operations management.
Comfortable with handling fleet maintenance, budgeting, and driver supervision.
Good knowledge of Dubai / UAE road laws, licensing, and safety standards.
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficiency in route planning, scheduling tools or software, and basic fleet tracking systems.
