Job Responsibilities:

• Read maps and follow written and verbal geographic directions
• Operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner, obeying all traffic laws
• Load, unload, secure, and cover cargo
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, documenting and reporting any mechanical problems
• Maintain records such as vehicle logs, trip records, delivery forms, etc.
• Communicate with dispatchers or other personnel in order to coordinate pickup/delivery activities
• Collect payments for goods delivered or services rendered
• Schedule pick-up/delivery activities with customers or other personnel
• Obtain signatures from customers in order to complete delivery paperwork
