Job Overview

The Storekeeper at ADNOC plays a critical role in managing the inventory of equipment, spare parts, and consumables. This position involves overseeing the entire process from receiving materials to their storage and eventual dispatch. Success in this role is measured by the accuracy of inventory records, the efficiency of material handling, and adherence to safety and operational standards.

As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring that all materials are received according to purchase orders, conducting physical checks, and maintaining accurate records in the ERP system. You will also be tasked with monitoring the condition and shelf life of materials, ensuring that all items are stored and handled in compliance with established policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical checks of received materials against purchase orders and report any discrepancies.
• Issue materials to users based on approved documentation and track any frustrations in demand due to unavailability.
• Process returned items and ensure they are logged accurately in the system.
• Maintain accurate data entry for all material transactions in the ERP system, addressing any mismatches in descriptions.
• Identify materials reserved for shutdowns and report any shortages requiring replenishment from other sites.
• Regularly check the shelf life of materials and report on items nearing expiry.
• Ensure proper labeling and preservation of materials, maintaining cleanliness in the storage areas.
• Operate forklifts for loading and unloading materials as necessary.
• Conduct periodic stock checks to reconcile inventory records with actual stock.
• Identify fast-moving and obsolete items, making recommendations for inventory management.
• Prepare reports on inventory status, including unaccounted items and fast-moving stock.
• Participate in emergency response activities as a team member, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Secondary School Certificate along with a vocational trade certificate in a relevant field.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in inventory management, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
• Strong understanding of HSE policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems for inventory management.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including exposure to varying weather conditions during site visits.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record-keeping.
