Role – Senior Civil & Structural Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for design and analysis of structural systems, creation and review of structural drawings and calculations, supervising junior engineers, ensuring compliance with local and international codes, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, leading site inspections, and ensuring that all deliverables meet quality and safety standards and are delivered on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and analysis of civil and structural systems including concrete, steel, composite, connection design etc.

• Review and check structural calculations, drawings, and specifications; ensure compliance with local building codes & international standards.

• Coordinate with architecture, MEP, geotechnical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated designs.

• Manage deliverables: technical documentation, reports, material specifications.

• Perform site visits / inspections; support construction teams to verify installation matches design, handle as-builts.

• Mentor and guide junior/civil structural engineers and coordinate their tasks.

• Participate in proposal reviews, technical bid evaluations, value engineering.

• Monitor project progress, liaise with clients, contractors, consultants; ensure timelines and quality.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; advanced degree preferred.

• 8-12+ years relevant experience in structural design and civil engineering roles, ideally in UAE / GCC.

• Proficiency in structural analysis & design software (e.g. ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, Tekla, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of local regulations, building codes, standards (e.g. ACI, BS, UAE codes).

• Excellent technical skills: load calculations, foundation design, seismic considerations, steel & concrete detailing.

• Strong communication skills; ability to present and explain structural concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Leadership experience; ability to manage small teams, provide oversight.
