Role – Senior Accountant

You will manage and execute key accounting functions including ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and compliance. Your role contributes to financial clarity and helps leadership make informed decisions through timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations: general ledger, accounts payable & receivable, bank reconciliations.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/local accounting standards.

• Manage VAT / tax compliance, including filings and ensuring adherence to UAE regulations.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and cost control initiatives.

• Support internal and external audits; maintain strong internal controls.

• Collaborate with other departments (operations, procurement, payroll etc.) to ensure accuracy of financial data.

• Improve accounting systems, workflows or processes to increase efficiency, accuracy and timeliness.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) preferred.

• Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience in the UAE or similar market.

• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT / tax regulations.

• Skilled in accounting/ERP software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or other financial systems), plus strong Excel skills.

• Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to meet deadlines.

• Good communication skills in English; any additional language is a plus.
