Job Responsibilities:

Oversee library operations, including circulation, collection development, acquisitions and cataloging.
Maintain and organize library resources, such as books, periodicals, audio-visual materials, digital media and databases.
Assist students in locating resources for research projects or recreational reading.
Provide reference services to answer student questions and assist in the use of library materials.
Teach information literacy skills such as how to use reference materials and online databases to students of all ages.
Manage user accounts and issue library cards to patrons.
Develop book displays and other programming activities to promote reading among students.
Collaborate with teachers to develop lesson plans that integrate library resources into their curriculum plans.
Monitor student behavior in the library and ensure a safe environment for research activities or recreational reading time
Prepare budget reports, process invoices and order new items for the library collection when necessary
