Job Overview

Harrow International School Dubai is seeking an exceptional Primary Teacher to join its founding team in August 2026. Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and academically rigorous lessons.
• Differentiate teaching to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and intellectual development.
• Maintain an organised, stimulating, and well-resourced learning environment.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor achievement and support pupil progress.
• Incorporate technology, innovation, and modern teaching approaches into classroom learning.

Curriculum and Academic Development

• Contribute to curriculum planning, development, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare pupils for relevant assessments and examinations.
• Provide constructive and timely feedback while maintaining accurate achievement records.
• Use educational research and evidence-based teaching practices to improve learning.
• Support cross-curricular activities, competitions, academic societies, and other enrichment opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning across the school.

Pastoral Care and Safeguarding

• Support pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, child protection, and pupil welfare.
• Communicate effectively with parents and maintain appropriate records.
• Promote Harrow’s values of Courage, Honour, Humility, and Fellowship.
• Contribute to the school’s House system and wider community life.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should meet the following essential requirements:

• An appropriate degree with a UK PGCE or another teaching qualification that provides QTS.
• At least three years of teaching experience.
• Familiarity with the National Curriculum of England and relevant GCSE/IGCSE and/or A Level programmes.
• A clean criminal record and appropriate international child-protection and police checks.
• Demonstrated commitment to child safeguarding and knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably within leading independent schools.
