GEMS Metropole School – Al Waha is on the lookout for an exceptional Primary Inclusion Teacher to join our vibrant educational community starting in October 2026. Nestled in the flourishing Al Waha area of Dubai, our school is a beacon of modern education, following the National Curriculum for England. Since our establishment in 2023, we have rapidly grown, currently serving students from FS1 to Year 11, with plans for a Sixth Form opening in August 2027. We are dedicated to fostering a nurturing environment where students can develop academically, socially, and personally.

As a Primary Inclusion Teacher, you will be instrumental in ensuring that students with additional learning needs receive the support they require to engage with the curriculum effectively. Collaborating closely with classroom teachers, families, and the wider inclusion team, you will create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that encourages every child to reach their full potential. Your role will be pivotal in shaping an inclusive educational experience that prioritizes the needs of all learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to students with additional learning needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to develop and implement effective teaching strategies that accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary to meet individual needs.
  • Engage with families to foster a supportive home-school partnership, ensuring they are informed and involved in their child’s learning journey.
  • Contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional support.
  • Promote an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and encourages respect among students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in inclusive education practices.
  • Support the wider school community through participation in enrichment activities and school events.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, along with a recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed. or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for England and effective primary teaching methodologies.
  • Experience working with students with additional learning needs, including SEND or inclusion strategies.
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • A collaborative mindset, willing to work closely with the inclusion team and class teachers.
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to the school’s extracurricular activities and community engagement initiatives.
