Job Roles

• Determine the requirements for the job by reading blueprints and other instructions.
• Using a marking gauge, pencil, ruler, and chalk, measure and mark cutting lines on materials.
• Using hand tools, machines, or power saws, shape or cut materials to specific measurements.
• Utilize hand tools, glue, nails, screws, or clamps to assemble and fasten materials to create the framework or props.
• Utilize woodworking machines, carpenter’s hand tools, and power tools to construct or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden building fixtures.
• Using hand or power tools, carpenters can install structures and fixtures like windows, frames, flooring, trim, and hardware.
• Utilize paint, hand tools, or panelling to finish the surfaces of woodwork or wallboard.

Eligibility Criteria

• Knowledge of framing and basic construction is a must, as is OSHA certification;
• The ability to read blueprints is a plus; the ability to work independently and meet deadlines is a must;
• The willingness to work in all kinds of weather conditions is a must;
• Excellent communication skills and a basic understanding of technology are a must;
• The ability to listen and follow instructions is a must.
• Have to be bilingual that is English and Spanish.
