About the Role

The Land Surveyor will perform surveying work for properties and sites to provide essential information for building construction, alterations, valuations, land use, and map making. This position also involves preparing and maintaining sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct land surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and features using instruments such as total stations, GPS, and aerial photogrammetry

  • Determine and mark property boundaries, easements, rights-of-way, and other land divisions accurately, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and surveying standards

  • Create maps, charts, and plats based on survey data to support land development, construction, and planning projects

  • Provide layout services for construction projects including site grading, building locations, and infrastructure alignments

  • Establish horizontal and vertical control points for surveying projects to ensure consistency and accuracy

  • Collect, compile, and analyze survey data including measurements, observations, and field notes

  • Prepare legal documents such as property descriptions, survey plats, and boundary certificates

  • Conduct quality checks and verification of survey data to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Communicate with clients, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing land surveying

  • Support the implementation of HSE initiatives and participate in safety awareness activities

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant surveying experience

  • 2 years of GCC experience is a plus

Technical Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of mathematics, survey computer programs, and survey computations

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of land surveying

  • Knowledge of surveying activities, techniques, engineering sketches, maps, and drawings

  • Proficiency in surveying tools and equipment

  • ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills
