Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure laboratory safety by enforcing rules and regulations, monitoring usage of hazardous materials, and performing routine equipment maintenance.
• Prepare and organize laboratory materials, including chemicals, glassware, apparatus and instruments for use in experiments.
• Assist with the setup and operation of laboratory equipment.
• Measure, mix and dispense fluids or gases for experiments or procedures; record measurements of quantities used in logbooks or databases.
• Monitor the temperature of incubators, freezers or other controlled environments; take corrective action to adjust as needed.
• Dispose of hazardous waste according to safety protocols; clean lab rooms and work areas daily to maintain a clean environment.

• Maintain accurate records of lab tests performed, experiment results and research findings; enter data into computer systems for storage or analysis purposes.
