Job Description

L1 SOC Analyst at Giza Systems serve as the first SOC tier to triage alerts. Ensuring threat alerts are contextually analyzed escalated to next tier (if further analysis is needed). L1 SOC Analyst Saudi Nationals at Giza Systems Give feedback and comments on relevant data quality issues. Monitor and report on data collection pipeline health.

Responsibilities

Log security incidents and ensure adequate information is available for next-tier analysts.
Generate and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc reports.
Capable of operating independently to investigate and escalate alerts in line with operational requirements and SLAs.

Technical Skills

With a background spanning 1-3 years in SOC analyst roles
Develop proficiency in diverse SIEM technologies like QRadar, Splunk, and LogRhythm.
Expertise extends to robust operating systems like Windows and Linux, coupled with a deep understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Familiarity with pivotal security paradigms such as the kill chain and defense-in-depth
Comprehensive knowledge of cyber threats and tactics employed by adversaries, complemented by hands-on experience in programming and scripting languages like PERL, Python, Java, Shell, and PowerShell.
Previous engagements in system and network administration, offering a holistic perspective.
Configured and implemented various network security solutions including SIEM platforms, firewalls, IPS, and IDS. Hands-on involvement in incident response and digital forensics alongside a solid foundation

Education

Bachelor’s in cyber security, Computer Science, Engineering, other related field, or equivalent.
