Job Overview

Role – Housekeeping Supervisor

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you’ll lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction. You’ll coordinate daily operations, conduct quality checks, ensure standards are met in guest rooms and public areas, train staff, manage shifts, and communicate with management for smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, lobbies, corridors, and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

• Assign tasks and shifts to housekeeping staff; ensure staff coverage in all assigned areas.

• Train, mentor, and develop housekeeping team members to meet quality and service objectives.

• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure all tools are used properly and stored correctly.

• Conduct regular audits and inspections; report maintenance or cleanliness issues to management; ensure corrective actions are taken.

• Ensure safety, hygiene, and health standards are followed, including handling cleaning chemicals safely.

• Assist with guest feedback and special requests related to housekeeping, ensuring proper resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a housekeeping role with some supervisory responsibilities.

• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques, safety & hygiene standards.

• Ability to lead & motivate teams; excellent communication skills (English essential, other languages are a plus).

• Good organizational & time management skills; capable of handling multiple tasks and supervising staff.

• Physically fit: ready for on-feet work, overseeing, inspecting, moving through rooms, etc.

• Flexibility with shifts, including weekends, holidays, and possibly high-occupancy periods.
