Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary liaison between hospital personnel, ambulance services and other emergency responders.
  • Monitor patient arrivals to the hospital and ensure that appropriate ambulances are dispatched to transport patients in a timely manner.
  • Track ambulance dispatch information to ensure accuracy of patient arrival times and locations.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to evaluate and prioritize patient care needs, ensuring patient safety during transport.
  • Monitor the performance of ambulance services and provide feedback on service quality standards to ensure high-level care is provided at all times.
  • Develop protocols for efficient coordination of hospital and ambulance services, including pre-arrival notification systems and communication procedures for timely response to emergency situations.
  • Monitor compliance with local laws and regulations related to ambulance services, including personnel qualifications, vehicle maintenance, equipment standards, licensing requirements, etc.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with emergency medical service providers in order to facilitate communication between the hospital and responding personnel on the scene of an incident or accident
  • Facilitate training sessions for hospital personnel on proper communication procedures when dealing with ambulance providers
  • Create reports detailing any incidents or problems encountered while coordinating transport services
  • Prepare reports analyzing the effectiveness of ambulance services provided by the hospital
