Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and move lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
• Inspect the lift truck for defects and notifies the supervisor of any mechanical problems.
• Load and unload merchandise from pallets or boxes onto shelves or tables.
• Move controls to drive lift trucks into position for loading or unloading, following safety rules and regulations of the workplace.
• Maintain records of the movement of materials in the logbook or computer system.
• Assemble orders and transports them to a designated area in the warehouse or distribution center.
• Stack products on pallets or shelves according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style or color.
• Sort items stored in the warehouse according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style or code number as requested by customer orders.
• Count items received or distributed to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records and reports discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
• Keeps the warehouse area clean and orderly at all times
