We are currently seeking experienced English Teachers who are ready for an immediate start. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with students in a vibrant educational environment where teaching is approached with enthusiasm and a commitment to fostering a love for learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons that stimulate curiosity and critical thinking among students.
• Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that recognizes and nurtures individual strengths and diverse learning styles.
• Utilize differentiated instruction to cater to the varied needs of all students, including those who are EAL, gifted, or require additional support.
• Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Effectively assess, document, and communicate student progress, utilizing data to tailor teaching approaches and provide personalized support.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to develop and refine curriculum plans, resources, and assessments aligned with the IB framework.
• Participate actively in school life by contributing to co-curricular activities, events, and community outreach initiatives.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents and the broader school community to support student development and well-being.
• Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practices to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Embody the values of GEMS and the principles of the IB Learner Profile in all aspects of educational practice.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A certified professional teaching qualification at degree level, such as a B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent, with a specialization in English.
• At least three years of demonstrable experience teaching Secondary English, preferably in an IB curriculum setting.
• Experience with MYP and DP curricula is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A genuine passion for inspiring young learners through innovative and inquiry-based teaching methodologies.
• Strong vision, energy, and commitment to contributing to the success of a leading educational institution with an international student body.
• A desire for professional growth and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, forward-thinking educational community.
