Job Responsibilities:

Electrician Duties:

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
  • Read blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools
  • Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
  • Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers
  • Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code
  • Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment

Mechanic Duties:

  • Diagnose mechanical problems using computerized diagnostic testing
  • Repair cars, trucks, buses, agricultural vehicles and other motorized equipment
